The final stage of the project was to make the hydroseeders available to other government agencies as well as the general public in order to encourage use of this practice. A Hydroseeder Operational Policy was developed that outlines the proper procedures for borrowing, utilizing and returning the equipment. Following the implementation of this policy, Hydroseeding Certification Training Workshops were held for the St. Thomas - St. John District (June 26, 1997) and St. Croix District (January 13, 1998) to train and certify individuals and government personnel in the use of the hydroseeder. A Hydroseeder Manual, certification exam and certification card, and workshop overheads were also produced. Sixty-five (65) contractors, architects, engineers, draftsmen and government agency representatives have attended these workshops to date, with 48 taking the exam, and 43 becoming certified.
