Physics 241

Physics 241 is the first course in the calculus-based General Physics sequence. The text is University Physics (Twelfth Edition) by Young and Freedman. The course curriculum and schedule can be found at this link. The professor for the Spring of 2008 semester is Dave Smith.

Physics 341

Physics 341 is a 3-hour junior level Modern Physics course. The text is Modern Physics (Second Edition) by Krane. The professor for the Spring 2008 semester is Roy Watlington.

Physics 351

Physics 351 is a weekly 3-hour Modern Physics laboratory and companion course to PHY 341. There is no text for the course. A laboratory manuscript will be provided for each lab. The professor for the Spring of 2008 semester is Roy Watlington.

Science 210 - Introduction to Meteorology

Science 210, is a 4-hour introductory meteorology course. This course satisfies general education requirements. It is an ADL course, with a weekly one hour tutorial. The textbook and companion study guide are Online Weather Studies Textbook and Study Guide - 3rd Ed by Joseph M. Moran. The professor for the Spring of 2008 semester is Dr. David J Smith and Dr. Al Lewit.

Science 100 The Natural World: The Caribbean

is a 3-hour introductory science course taken by all UVI freshman students. This course satisfies general education requirements. The lead instructor for the course varies from one semester to the next. Below are links to websites produced by some of these lead instructors. The course content varies slightly with each lead instructor and the links may not be active this semester.
