You are listening to Lenny Kravitz performing at the Oakland Coliseum. Lenny is holding a long, thunderous low note on his Strat, when you decide to dash out and pick up one of those marvelous sushi combo platters. You walk out the nearest entrance/exit portal and turn sharply to the right. You notice that as you walk to the next portal that the loudness of the note drops off to nearly nothing, gets very loud again at the center, drops off to nearly nothing and becomes loud again as you reach the next portal. The realization strikes that you have just witness double slit interference! If the portals are 66 ft apart, what is the wavelength of the note Lenny is holding? (Hint: Your are not far away from the "slits", so the usual equation is not valid. Consider directly the locations of constructive and destructive interference to determine the wavelength.)
