HO.1: FROG RINGER: GENERAL LAB USE

 
 

Frog Ringer: mix chemicals below and dilute to 1L; adjust pH to 7.2:

NaCl (sodium chloride) 6.55 g/L

KCl (potassium chloride) 0.14 g/L

CaCl2 (calcium chloride) 0.12 g/L

NaHCO3 (sodium bicarbonate) 0.20 g/L

NaH2PO4 (sodium dihydrogenphosphate) 0.12 g/L

glucose 0.2 g/L

***PREPARE AT LEAST 4 L AND STORE IN COLD ROOM***

 
 

HO. 2: LOBSTER RINGER: GENERAL LAB USE

 
 

Lobster Ringer: mix chemicals below & dilute to 2L; adjust pH to

7.35 with HCl or NaOH

NaCl (sodium chloride) 55.99 g/L (479 MM)

KCl (potassium chloride) 1.91 g/L 2L (12.8 MM)

CaCl2 (calcium chloride) 3.04 g/L 2L (13.7 MM)

Na2SO4 (sodium sulfate) 1.11 g/L 2L (3.9 MM)

MgSO4 (magnesium sulfate) 2.41 g/ 2L (10 MM)

glucose 0.72g / 2L (2 MM)

tris base (Tris [hydroxymethyl] aminomethane) 2.69 g/2L (11.1 MM)

maleic acid 1.18 g. 2L (5.1 MM)

***PREPARE AT LEAST 4 L AND STORE IN COLD ROOM

 
 

HO. 3: CRAYFISH RINGER: GENERAL LAB USE

 
 

Crayfish Ringer: mix chemicals below & dilute to 1L:

NaCl (sodium chloride) 12 g/

KCl (potassium chloride) 0.4 g/L

CaCl2 (calcium chloride) 1.5 g/L

MgCl2 (magnesium chloride) 0.5 g/L

NaHCO3 (sodium bicarbonate) 0.17 g/L
