UVI's Office of Institutional Research and Planning (OIRP) will administer the 2010 Cooperative Institutional Research Program (CIRP) Freshman Survey from Aug. 23 through Sept. 10. The survey, developed by the Higher Education Research Institute at the University of California-Los Angeles, has been used for more than 40 years to document trends in the national student population. It will be administered in Freshman Development Seminar classes on both St. Thomas and St. Croix. Survey findings are designed to show how students have both changed and remained the same over the years. Data gathered by the survey helps UVI administrators better understand the needs of its students and how to provide better services. For more information contact OIRP at (340) 693-1010.
