UVI's Caribbean Green Technology Center (CGTC) will host a forum on clean energy solutions for invited V.I. Senators and their staff members, the Virgin Islands Energy Office, WAPA and other government employees who focus on energy policy. “Keeping the Lights On, Part 2: A Forum on Renewable Energy Policy” is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Oct. 22, on UVI's Albert A. Sheen Campus on St. Croix. It will take place in UVI's Research and Extension Center Room 133. It will focus on Virgin Islands Energy Policy as outlined in ACT 7075.
The forum will address a range of important local, state, and federal issues such as green buildings, infrastructure, land use, water conservation, and small business regulation. Its goal is to showcase the expertise available from CGTC and its partners to deal with such policy matters.
