VI Educators Reduce Marine Debris & Educate Youth with UVI Grant

January 19, 2017 - Fifteen Virgin Islands educators have been awarded $26,648 for marine environmental projects that aim to educate and reduce pollution in the ocean. The “Pride in our Seas, Pride in Ourselves: Preventing Land-Based Sources of Marine Debris in the USVI through Educational Transformation and Community Engagement” project was made possible by a $99,411 marine debris education and prevention grant from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Marine Debris Program.Read More

UVI Welcomes New Vice Provost for Access and Enrollment Services

January 04, 2017 - The University of the Virgin Islands is pleased to welcome Dr. Kevin L. Williams as its new Vice Provost for Access and Enrollment Services. Dr. Williams comes to UVI having served in leadership roles in enrollment management, admissions, retention and diversity – most recently at Talladega College in Alabama, but also at Mississippi Valley State University, Clark Atlanta University, Morehouse College, Ross University and others. UVI’s Spring Semester Begins Jan. 9; New Student Orientation Set for Jan. 3 – 5; Continuing Student Registration Underway

January 03, 2017 - Spring semester classes at the University of the Virgin Islands are scheduled to begin on Monday, Jan. 9. Online registration for continuing UVI students is available, with access through the University’s BanWeb registration and student information portal. Late registration for new and continuing students is set for Thursday, Jan. 5. UVI class schedules, a link to the BanWeb login page and additional details are available from the Registrar’s section of the UVI website.Read More
