Dr. Gloria Callwood, Chair of the Division of Nursing Education, welcomes nursing students back from the summer break. The incoming class of Nursing 131/132 includes students from the Virgin Islands and neighboring Caribbean Islands, as well as the U.S. mainland (Washington, Texas, Louisiana) and Europe (Switzerland). The diversity of the student body makes for a rich learning experience for all students. Dr. Callwood also welcomed participants in the STARs Grant which has been expanded to include more students this year. During the special meeting, Dr. Callwood also oriented students to the new academic affairs structure at UVI, which unites both the ASN and BSN programs under one department Chair.
