Incoming Class of 2004 Most Diverse Ever

The incoming clinical nursing class of 2004 was the most diverse ever to enroll in the first clinical nursing semester on St. Croix.  Students from the US mainland joined Caribbean-born students for a cultural mix that benefits all.  Joining the class were students from Louisiana and Oregon as well as students from the Virgin Islands, Dominica, St. Lucia and Guyana.

Students are shown on their first clinical day at Whim Gardens, an independent living facility for older residents of the Virgin Islands.  Students learn communication and assessment skills at the facility and the residents always enjoy participating in the experience.
