Beginning this semester, nursing students need to complete a 2 credit course in Drug Dosage Calculation prior to entry into the clinical nursing sequence (Nursing 131 and 132). The course is offered for students in the second semester of Human Anatomy and Physiology. The course is being offered by Prof. Kathy Sheats, who has been teaching this content as a part of the curriculum for many years.
For students who are considering a transfer to UVI's Associate Degree Nursing Program on St. Croix, the faculty approved a challenge process. The final exam will be offered (for a fee) and students will have one opportunity to pass at the 90% level. The course will also be offered in the summer if enough students are interested.
