Environmental Training Workshops
for School and Small Business Personnel
St. Thomas - November 13, 2007 | St. Croix - November 14, 2007
   Free Environmental Awareness Training workshops for individuals from schools (K-12) and small businesses will be conducted on Nov. 13 on St. Thomas and on Nov. 14 on St. Croix.

   The sessions are sponsored by the University of the Virgin Islands in collaboration with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

    The workshops are tailored to the unique environmental challenges faced by schools and small business. They will review pertinent environmental regulations. They will also cover requirements for hazardous waste, solid waste and recycling, wastewater, tanks, pollution prevention and waste minimization. Sessions will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
