The Baylor University Bears defeated the Winthrop University Eagles 62-54 in the championship game of the U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam at the University of the Virgin Islands on Monday, Nov. 19. Georgia Tech edged Notre Dame 70-69 in the evening's earlier battle for third place in the tourney.
No 2. UConn Downs No. 8 Duke for Women's Title
The No. 2 ranked University of Connecticut Huskies shot their way to the championship of the women's division of the 2007 Paradise Jam holiday tournament on Sunday, Nov. 25, downing the No. 8 ranked Duke Blue Devils 74-48 at the UVI Sports and Fitness Center. In Sunday's battle for Paradise Jam's third and fourth places, Stanford downed Temple, 63-54.
