VI-EPSCoR Holds
2005 Conference
VI-EPSCoR - the initiative to promote the use of science and technology as tools to build the local economy - held a two-day conference, Sept. 23-24, 2005, on St. Thomas. Leading researchers already at work in the VI-EPSCoR program spoke at the Mariott Frenchman's Reef Resort, while professional and student researchers took center stage at UVI's Sports and Fitness Center, with displays and poster presentations. The program is to inspire more Virgin Islanders to engage in scientific research, either in an educational setting or as a career path.
