2007 Afternoon on the Green Winners Announced |

The University of the Virgin Islands announces the winners of the 18th Annual Afternoon on the Green held on March 4, on the St. Thomas campus golf course. Topping this year's list with most wins is Dawn Milliner, who won in three categories. "Anson's Chicken and Rice" prepared by Anson Larcheveaux maintained its second place win from last year in the Main Dishes/Meats/Poultry category. Taking first prize in that category is "Lash and Booms's Jack Daniel Tofu," prepared by Anson Larcheveaux and Selwyn Gumbs. In the Soups category Erica Donovan's "Peas Soup" and "Kalalloo" both tied for first place. First-time contributor Mark Freeman won the first prize in the Breads category for his "Whole Wheat Eggless Banana Bread." Judging was done by patrons who purchased $10 or more of tickets. Judging was based on originality, taste and creativity. Please see the complete list of winners below.
