In the journal's awards section, readers can find the prize winners from the 20th anniversary issue: Joan Anim Addo, a native of Grenada now residing in London, won The Daily News Prize for poetry; Carolina Paiz from Guatemala garnered The Avis's Canute Broadhurst Prize for short fiction; V. Corso, currently living in the Netherlands, received The Charlotte and Isidor Paiewonsky Prize for first time publication in The Caribbean Writer; Guyana's Ian McDonald was awarded The David Hough Literary Prize to an author residing in the Caribbean; and Tregenza Roach of St. Thomas secured The Marguerite Cobb McKay Prize to a Virgin Islands author.
