Island cooks are challenged to bring out their best tasting maubi drinks, sweetbreads and ital dishes for a competition to be held in conjunction with the 2007 St. Thomas-St. John Agriculture and Food Fair scheduled for Nov. 17 and 18. The top three winners will be chosen in each category. Prizes of cash and ribbons will be awarded.

Individuals who wish to participate in the competition must register by Monday, Nov. 12, with Faye James at the V.I. Department of Agriculture, which is a co-sponsor of the fair. To register, call James at 774-5182.

The fair will be held on the grounds of the Reichhold Center for the Arts on the St. Thomas campus of the University of the Virgin Islands.
