Comprised
of 175 acres, the St. Thomas campus is located three miles west of the
U.S. Virgin Islands capital, Charlotte Amalie and overlooks Brewer's Bay.
The buildings include: The Ralph M. Paiewonsky Library; Residence
Halls housing, Business Administration, Humanities, Nursing Education,
Science and Mathematics, Social Sciences, and Teacher Education Buildings;
the Music Center; the William P. MacLean Marine Science Center: and the
Leo M. Harvey Student Center with the dining hall and bookstore.
There is also a health services center. The Classroom Administration
Building contains classrooms, a theatre, administration and faculty offices
and science laboratories. The Reichhold Center for the Arts, the
University's 1196 seat amphitheatre, is located on the far west end of
the campus, adjacent to Brewer's Bay. It hosts a regular season of international
performances, as well as in-house productions by the Reichhold Repertory
Company.
The University campus includes the Herman E. Moore Golf Course, Brewer's Bay beach, tennis courts, playing fields, a golf course and a basketball court, and the $13 million, multi-purpose Sports and Fitness Center.
