UVI’s Human Resources Office has reminded employees on regular full-time appointments that they are eligible for up to two hours of administrative leave for the purpose of voting, according to Human Resources Policy, Section X, No. 56.00.
Election day is Tuesday, Nov. 6. Employees are encouraged to arrange to vote in the early morning or late afternoon, so that as little time as possible is taken from the job. Arrangements and scheduling to take leave for voting must be made in advance with supervisors so that minimal disruption to offices and services occurs.
