A public observing session using the V.I. Robotic Telescope is scheduled from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 14, at UVI's Etelman Observatory on St. Thomas. Anticipated sights include Jupiter, the Orion star forming region, and the Gemenid meteor shower. The evening will also feature a video presentation on the seen and unseen contents of the universe. The viewing is presented free of charge to the community through charitable sponsorship by Celtic Therapeutics and hosted by UVI's College of Science and Mathematics and the Etelman Observatory. Public viewings at the observatory are planned on a monthly basis.
