UVI offers both B.A. and B.S.degrees in Marine Biology and Biology, preparing students for postgraduate and professional careers with an emphasis on student participation in scientific research.  Emerging Caribbean Scientist Programs offer scholarships, research experiences, mentoring, and supplemental instruction to St. Thomas and St. Croix students participating in UVI STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) and psychology courses.
