The MMES program is an advanced degree program designed to prepare professionals for careers in marine and environmental science and resource management. A unifying theme of the program is to understand tropical ecosystems by studying land-sea relationships, and applying this understanding to environmental management. There are two tracks of study in the MMES program: a science based track for those students who wish to focus on research, and a management based track for those students who wish to focus on resource management issues. The program draws upon the expertise of faculty within several units of UVI, in particular the Center for Marine and Environmental Studies and the Division of Science and Mathematics. For more information on the program and how to apply, visit the MMES website or contact the MMES Graduate Program Coordinator at 340-693-1427 or mmes@uvi.edu
