Program Description: The University of Puerto Rico is accepting applications for the Summer 2013 internship in Tropical Ecology and Evolution at El Verde Field Station, Puerto Rico.
The program will offer students the opportunity to have hands-on experience in fields such as:
- Plant Systematics and Population Biology
- Stream Ecology and Consumer-Resource Linkages
- Biodiversity Conservation
- Aquatic insect ecology
- Plant Reproductive Ecology and Evolution
- Tropical Fish Ecology
- Urban Ecology
Program Details, Specifics and Requirements:
- The internship will run from June 3 - August 9, 2013
- Students will receive a stipend and up to $600 to cover plane tickets to Puerto Rico.
- The program will cover housing at El Verde Field Station
- The National Science Foundation and the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras campus, sponsor the program.
- The program is limited to undergraduate students pursuing a Bachelor degree at a college or university during summer 2013
- Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident to apply
