Process Technology - Paradigm

The associate of applied science degree program in Process Technology is a technical program that will allow students to acquire the necessary skills, concepts, and experiences to be employed in a variety of positions within the refinery industry. The program blends essential elements of refinery training with General Education courses needed by refinery employees such as reading, writing, communication, and mathematics.

In addition, it is a collaborative program designed by the technical and operations managers of HOVENSA and professors within the Division of Science and Mathematics. The objectives of this program are to

  1. prepare graduates to enter industrial employment,
  2. maintain up-to-date curriculum and industry standards,
  3. assist local industries in providing up-to-date training for their present and future employees, and
  4. provide an atmosphere and the facilities to stimulate students toward maximum intellectual growth in technology.
