The Elementary Education program provides a solid base for graduate study consisting of:
broad preparation in the liberal arts with concentrated study in one selected area
professional preparation-- including field experiences-- for highly effective teaching in multi cultural settings
The 36-credit Master of Arts in Education degree provides core study for all students and a choice of concentration (15 credits) from among teaching, educational administration and supervision, and guidance and counseling.
The Division also offers a program in Secondary Teacher Preparation for students majoring in humanities, English, social sciences, mathematics, or science. It is designed to prepare students for certification by the territorial Board of Education on graduation.The Physical Education program is also part of this Division.
