Summer Institute for Future Global Leaders

In the summer of 1995, the University of the Virgin Islands, in collaboration with the University of the West Indies and Inter American University launched the Summer Institute for Future Global Leaders in the Caribbean.

Purpose:
The Summer Institute For Future Global Leaders in the Caribbean is designed to provide a foundation for nurturing future leaders in the Caribbean and beyond. Its multi-discipline program and activities equip students with a broad knowledge and functional skills necessary to assume future leadership roles in environments that are shaped by global market forces, revolutionary technology, and communication. 

Outcome:

  • 3.0 Credits
  • A Certificate in Global Leadership Development
  • A Leadership Prospectus (each student will produce a customized leadership prospectus, which she/he intends to adapt any emerging as a global leader)
