The University of the Virgin Islands is a public, coeducational, liberal arts, land-grant institution. Founded in 1962, UVI is the only HBCU outside the U.S. mainland. With campuses on St. Croix and St. Thomas, UVI enrolls approximately 2,500 undergraduate and graduate students in 45 degree programs.
