Information & Technology Services
In December of 2004, the University of the Virgin Islands committed to a reorganization of the technology and library resources into a single University component, known as Information & Technology Services (ITS).
ITS is in the business of providing resources and support to achieve VISION 2012.
Vision 2012
Vision 2012 is an ambitious strategic plan, about the hopes and aspirations of UVI and of the Virgin Islands themselves. It is a blueprint which emphasizes the use of technology as a tool to enhance teaching and learning and to improve the effectiveness of UVI’s educational and administrative processes.
The Strategic Plan
To make sure that Information Technology Services is aligned with the Vision 2012, four strategic areas have been identified.

- Institutional Improvement
- Financial Stability
- Community Engagement
The realization of these strategic focus areas, combined with the mission, vision and core values as expressed in VISION 2012, provide institutional focus and direction and serve as an organizational blueprint for the continuous transformation of the University of the Virgin Islands through 2012.
