The 10th Virgin Islands Nonpoint Source Pollution Conference has been scheduled for May 6 and 7, 2010, at the Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort & Spa on St. Thomas. The conference – titled: Changing Direction & Directing Change: Solutions 2 Nonpoint Pollution – aims to involve all sectors of society. Those invited include government and non-government association officials, scientists and educators, students, community groups and home owners associations, construction and boating industry representatives, farmers and vendors.
The conference is sponsored by the V.I. Department of Planning and Natural Resources, UVI’s Cooperative Extension Service and Marine Advisory Service, the V.I. Resource Conservation & Development Council, the V.I. Nonpoint Source Pollution Control Committee, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
