The mission is to promote the collaboration of assistive technology (AT) programs with persons with disabilities, providers, industry, advocates and others at the state and national level and to increase the availability and utilization of accessible information technology (IT) and assistive technology devices and services (AT) for all individuals with disabilities in the United States and territories

VITRAID Advisory Council
VITRAID’s Advisory Council, known as the Assistive Technology Advisory Council (ATAC), provides consumer-driven, consumer-responsive advice to the state for planning and implementation of the activities of the Virgin Islands Statewide Assistive Technology Program (Statewide AT Program). The VITRAID CAC has seventeen members. Nine members (52%) of the CAC are individuals with disabilities who use AT, or family members of individuals with disabilities, who use AT. The remaining eight members of the council represent agencies, including: the State Office of Special Education, Protection & Advocacy, Vocational Rehabilitation, Centers for Independent Living, and Health Services.
