Dr. David C. Morris is a Professor of Physics and Astronomy in the College of Science and Mathematics at the University of the Virgin Islands and is also Director of the Etelman Observatory. Dr. Morris joined the faculty of UVI in August 2011 after having previously worked at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in the Washington DC metro area and at the Harvard Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Dr. Morris’ research expertise is in high-energy astrophysics and studies of high-energy transient sources including gamma-ray bursts and neutron-star binaries.
