Dining Services


  • Am I required to have a dining plan it I live on campus?

    All residence hall residents are required to have a dining plan. Students will be able to choose from two dining plans while completing their contract. Each plan is prices differently. the two dining plan options are describes below:
     
    Meal Plan A: ($2,675) Seven (7) day meal plan with three (3) meals per day Monday through Saturday and two (2) meals on Sunday; twenty meals weekly.
     
    Meal Plan B: ($1,875) Seven (7) day meal plan with two (2) meals per day Monday through Sunday; fourteen meals weekly.


  • Can I bring a guest to the dining hall? How much does it cost?

    Guests are welcomed but are required to purchase their own meals. The meal costs are as follows:
     
    Breakfast: $6.00
    Lunch: $10.00
    Dinner: $10.00


  • Can Loan my card to a friend?

    No, friends cannot use your ID card. In fact, loaning your ID to a friend subjects both parties to disciplinary action.


  • How do I change my dining plan?

    You can change your dining plan during the first two weeks of each semester. Students can change their plans at he cashier  located at the Administrative and Conference Center.


  • How do I purchase a dining plan if I live off campus?

    Students not living on campus may select the Meal Plan B option for two meals a day. This plan is the best option for students who may not be on campus during the weekend.


  • What are "Holiday Hours"?

    Holiday Hours are in effect during University Holidays when school is in session. These dates are marked on the Calendar, the hours are listed below:

    Holiday Hours

    Breakfast: 8:00 am - 9:00 am

    Lunch: 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

    Dinner 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm


  • What happens to meals I don't use?

    Meals do not rolls over.


  • What is offered for special dietary needs?

    We accommodate residents with a wide variety of food allergies, however, these residents are required to contact our Campus Nurse.


  • When do the dining plans reset for the week?

    Dining plans reset on Sunday at 11:59 pm.


  • Where can I make suggestions?

    WE value feedback from our residents and provide multiple channels for students to submit feedback. Feedback may be provided through our on-site suggestion box or through our "Pipeline to the Top," program. You can submit an e-mail that will go directly to the Dining Services Supervisor, who will then post a response on the bulletin board in the Dining Pavilion.


Facilities


  • Are the rooms air-conditioned?

    No, the rooms are not air-conditioned. However, each resident hall is equipped with a ventilation system.


  • Can I have a microwave, toaster oven, coffee pot or hot plate in my room?

    The danger of fire is a major concern to the university; therefore the possession and/or use of any types of cooking appliances are prohibited in the residence halls.


  • Can I have pets?

    Students may not bring or keep any animals or pets within or upon the premises of the university.


  • What do I do if something is wrong with my assigned room?

    If there is anything wrong with your assigned room, you should report it to your resident assistant and he or she will ensure that the problem is resolved.


General


  • Can I have opposite sex overnight guests in my room?

    Persons of the opposite sex are not allowed in the rooms of students living in the resident halls, but may visit in the main lounge or lobby of the resident halls. Visitation hours are from 10:00 am to 12:00 mid-night.


  • Do I need to have a meal plan?

    All student living on campus must have a meal plan. Residents have the option of purchasing meal plan A, which consists of 20 meals per week (3 meals a day), or meal plan B, which consists of 14 meals per week (2 meals per day).


  • How can I get my mail box?

    Upon check-in to the resident hall, mail box numbers and keys are issued along with room keys.


  • How can I get telephone/internet service in my room?

    Payment of telephone and internet service can be made anytime during the semester at the cashier's office and a receipt must be presented to the Information Technology office to activate the services. The prices for each are as followed:
    Telephone: $90 per semester
    Internet: $75 per semester


  • Why do I need my student ID?

    Your student ID is used in most areas on campus. It is especially needed to eat in the cafeteria, to visit resident halls, and to check out books in the library.


Room Assignments


  • Can residents remain on campus during breaks?

    Residents can remain on campus during Thanksgiving, Spring Break, and Holidays except for Christmas and summer because  cleaning and maintenance of the halls takes place during this time.


  • Do I have to live on-campus?

    No, students are not required to live on-campus.


  • If I have questions once I'm settled in, who can answer them?

    Each resident is assigned to a resident assistant that will be able to answer any questions you may have. however, you are welcome to visit the Student Housing office, which is conveniently located in the Student Activities Center.


  • When can I move into my room? Can I move in early?

    Check-in dates will be included in the confirmation letter and because the residence halls are occupied during off-seasons, residents cannot move on campus before the check-in date.


  • When will I receive my housing assignment?

    Housing Assignment are assigned on a date received basis. Once you have been assigned a dorm room, you will receive a confirmation letter via email and a follow-up phone all at least a month and a half before the semester begins.
