New Student Orientation

All newly matriculated students are required to participate in orientation activities before the start of the fall or spring semester for academic advising and development of their class schedules. Orientation activities are designed to acquaint students with rules and regulations of the University; to explore the campus; and to meet faculty, administrators, staff and fellow students. Other orientation activities are designed to enhance students’ academic and social adjustment to college life. Attendance at all orientation  activities is mandatory.

New student orientations are coordinated by Student Affairs. For more information about new student orientation activities, contact Dean of Students Dr. Doris Battiste on the St. Thomas Campus and Dean of Students Miriam Osborne on the Albert A. Sheen Campus on St. Croix. See links below to view the complete schedules for both campuses and for UVI placement testing information and policies regarding student rights.

Orientation for new and transfer students for the Spring 2013 Semester is scheduled to take place from Tuesday, Jan 8 to Friday, Jan 11, 2013.
