The building design consists of a large entrance area with service desk, mirrored aerobic and dance studio with a sprung wood floor that can be divided with the use of a foldable portion to separate the studios. In addition, the facility has a fitness equipment room with state-of-the-art Life Fitness and Hammer Strength weight training and cardiovascular equipment.
The facility includes 7 flat screen televisions and 2 surround systems. The equipment includes Classic Series treadmills, LeMond spin bikes, Life Fitness cable equipment, free weight with TKO barbell and dumbbells, elliptical, exercise bikes, fitness balls and step equipment. Members may store their clothes in the men’s and women’s locker rooms.
The UVI Wellness Center building incorporates energy efficient methods, materials and products in its design. The structure features a high efficiency air conditioning system with multi zone temperature control system, low water use plumbing fixtures, a solar hot water system, high efficiency T-12 interior light fixtures and an insulated, hurricane-rated, multi-pane window system.
