Welcome to the University of the Virgin Islands!  All newly admitted students are required to come to campus a few days before the beginning of the fall or spring semester to participate in New Student Orientation.  The purpose of orientation is to ensure that you have a successful transition into college. 

What is involved in Orientation?  During orientation week, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Check into your residence hall
  • Meet your academic advisors
  • Meet and interact with other students, faculty, administrators and staff
  • Engage in social and recreational activities
  • Become familiar with the campus rules and regulations
  • Tour your campus and the island
  • Register for classes
  • Obtain your student ID

English and Mathematics Testing for Spring 2014

English and Mathematics placement testing will be held on January 7, 2014 on the St. Thomas and the Albert A. Sheen campuses. For both English and Mathematics, testing on the Albert A. Sheen campus is in North West Wing 131 and 133 with registration at 8:30 A.M. and testing beginning at 9:00 A.M. For both English and Mathematics, testing on the St. Thomas campus is in the Ralph M. Paiewonsky Library with registration at 8:30 A.M. and testing beginning at 9:00 A.M.  Students are to bring their acceptance letter, and a picture identification.
