Coverage begins with the first issue of the journal, and typically there is a gap from 1 to 5 years between the most recently published journal issue and the back issues available in JSTOR. Users may browse by journal title or discipline, or may search the full-text or citations.

Citations may include links to full-text content from PubMed Central and publisher web sites.
