Government Contracting 101 Seminars to be held on April 9 and 10

The VI Small Business Development Center (VI SBDC) in collaboration with the Small Business Administration (SBA) present the Government Contracting 101 seminars on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 on St. Thomas at the VI SBDC Training Facility at Nisky Center, Suite 720 and Wednesday, April 10, 2019 on St. Croix at the Albert A. Sheen Campus in the Cooperative Extension Service Room 143.

The morning seminars will be offered in English from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

The afternoon seminars will be offered in Spanish from 1:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

In these seminars, participants will learn how the government buys and sells goods, how to register as a contractor for the federal government, key certifications available, and the basics of marketing your services effectively to federal contracting officers.

Contratación Federal 101 En este seminario, los participantes tendrán la oportunidad de conocer como el Gobierno Federal adquiere sus productos y servicios. Podrán conocer los pasos necesarios para registrarse y poder vender sus productos y/o servicios al Gobierno Federal. Tendrán la oportunidad de conocer las distintas certificaciones disponibles bajo la Administración Federal de Pequeños Negocios, (SBA) por sus siglas en inglés, y algunas técnicas básicas de mercadeo y lograr contactar a los oficiales de compras/contratación.
