Livestock guard dogs are used at our facility to protect the sheep flock from predators. Stray dogs can be a substantial problem on St. Croix and they will occasionally attack and kill sheep. The livestock guard dogs keep strays away from the farm as well as help prevent theft. Currently, we use Pyrenees and Anatolian x Pyrenees crossbred dogs.
