I received my Bachelor's of Science degree in Biology from UVI in 2010. Thereafter I pursued and obtained my masters degree in Marine and Environmental Studies from UVI in 2014. While working on my masters degree, I was interested in understanding the biochemistry of red mangroves and utilizing that biochemistry as a tool for assessing their health. Upon receiving my degree I became employed at UVI as the Virgin Islands Marine Advisory Service Coordinator for St. Thomas and St. John. I help promote education and awareness about environmental and marine-related issues/concerns within the Virgin Islands community through the organization of various events such as Reef Fest and VI Coast Weeks.
