Easy Ways to Give:
(Please view our Gift Acceptance Policy)
Gift of CashA gift of cash (check or credit card) has an immediate yet lasting impact. Your gift to UVI is tax deductible.
Matching GiftsYou may be able to increase the amount of your gift through a matching gift. Many businesses have programs to match employee gifts, so be sure to check with your employer to find out if they have a matching gift policy.
Gifts of Appreciated AssetsA gift of appreciated securities such as stocks, mutual funds or bonds, proceeds from a retirement account may also be considered.
Gifts In-KindIn lieu of monetary contributions, some donors opt to provide in-kind contributions that can enhance our classrooms, research capabilities, facilities and grounds or overall campus life. In-
kind gifts can include contributions of computer hardware and software, building materials, automobiles and vessels and much more.
Gifts of Real PropertyYou may also contribute real property to UVI and realize significant tax benefits. Gifts of real property may consist of almost any type of property such as personal residence, a commercial building, or an undeveloped parcel of land.
Gifts of Personal PropertySome donors choose to contribute gifts of personal property such as rare books, manuscripts, paintings, artifacts and other art objects.
One of the benefits of giving to UVI is knowing that you have made a conscious decision to invest in the quality of education offered to UVI students.
Contributions ensure the availability of funds for student and faculty research, student aid, technology, summer academies and training, scholarships, the performing arts and many other ongoing and unforeseen needs of this institution.
Beyond the benefits to the institution and students, donating to UVI positively affects your tax situation by providing a charitable gift tax deduction.
The Office of Institutional Advancement is charged with securing financial support. If you have a question, suggestion or would like more information about GIVING to UVI, we would love to hear from you.
