The University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) is pleased to invite the public to the 2nd Annual 13D Business Leadership Lecture, featuring renowned singularity expert, David Roberts. The event will take place on Monday, March 11, at 6 p.m. at UVI’s 13D Research and Strategy Innovation Center.  

David Roberts, a distinguished faculty member at Singularity University, is one of the world's foremost authorities on technology disruption, innovation, and exponential leadership. With a mission to improve the lives of a billion people worldwide, Roberts aims to empower leaders to create new intentions for global good through technology disruption.

With this deeper understanding of technologies shaping the future, we aim to inspire people to think beyond the expected – to shift their mindset to radically new ideas. This kind of innovative thinking is at the very heart of the 13D Innovation Center,” said Dr. Pamela Moolenaar-Wirsiy, dean of Innovation and Student Success and Institutional Advancement vice president at the University of the Virgin Islands. “We invite the public, local leaders, business professionals, and students to join us for this transformative experience.” 

Roberts brings with him a wealth of experience. He has served as Vice President and two-time Director of Singularity University's Graduate Studies Program. He holds a master's in business administration from Harvard Business School and is an M.I.T. computer scientist and engineer, specializing in artificial intelligence and bio-computer engineering. As an award-winning CEO and serial entrepreneur, Roberts has spearheaded ventures with over $100 million dollars of investment from industry giants such as Kleiner Perkins, Vinod Khosla, Cisco, Oracle, Accenture, and In-Q-Tel.
