The University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) is redefining how science engages local communities through the STEM Ambassador Program (STEMAP), a partnership with the University of Utah and UVI’s Navigating Home program, funded by the U.S. National Science Foundation. Together, these initiatives are equipping scientists, fellows and community partners with tools to deepen trust, inspire youth and strengthen ties between research and the people it serves.
Caribbean Food Crop Society Conference

The University of the Virgin Islands Medical Simulation Center (UVI MSC) has been officially added to the U.S. Virgin Islands Eligible Training Provider List , a designation administered by the Virgin Islands Workforce Development Board that expands access to federally supported workforce training opportunities for Virgin Islanders pursuing careers in emergency medical services.

UVI to Confer More Than 270 Degrees at 2026 Commencement Ceremonies

The University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) will confer 280 degrees during its 2026 Commencement Ceremonies, taking place on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at the Elridge W. Blake Sports and Fitness Center on the Orville E. Kean Campus on St. Thomas, and on Friday, May 15, 2026, at the Island Center for the Performing Arts on the Albert A. Sheen Campus on St. Croix. Both ceremonies will begin at 1 p.m.

Members of the media are invited to cover and photograph the University of the Virgin Islands’ Nursing Pinning ceremony on Monday, May 11, in the Great Hall on the Albert A. Sheen campus on St. Croix, and on Wednesday, May 13, in the LaVerne E. Ragster Administration and Conference Center at 5 p.m. on the Orville E. Kean Campus on St. Thomas.
