The University of the Virgin Islands Alumni Call Center is hosting its second annual Thank-a-thon from Nov. 19-20. Alumni will be phoned and thanked for their contribution to UVI over the years.

In the regular session of its quarterly meeting on Oct. 21, the University of the Virgin Islands Board of Trustees received an update on damages caused by Hurricanes Irma and Maria to the Albert A. Sheen Campus on St. Croix, the St. Thomas Campus and the St. John Academic Center on St. John.

In the wake of Hurricanes Irma and Maria, two category five storms that did substantial damage throughout the Albert A. Sheen Campus on St. Croix, the St. Thomas Campus and the St John Academic Center, the University created the UVI Rise Relief Fund to assist students, faculty, and staff who were impacted by the storms.

The University of the Virgin Islands Board of Trustees will meet at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21.

The Reichhold Center for the Arts, the Virgin Islands’ premier performing arts venue, has suffered major damages by Hurricanes Irma and Maria.
