The University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) announced that Fall 2025 prospective students can now visit UVI’s website -- www.uvi.edu -- to check the status of their admissions applications, as the Enrollment Management Team works diligently to review and respond to all submissions delayed by recent technical difficulties.

Prospective students can check their application status by visiting the Admissions & Aid tab located at the top right of the UVI homepage. By clicking the dropdown menu, applicants will find the link titled “Check Application Status.” Alternatively, they may use the website search function and type “check application.”

Applicants are asked to allow up to two (2) weeks for their applications to be processed. If a decision has not been received via email after two weeks from the date of submission, applicants may use the "Check Application Status" link to follow up.

Prospective students are also encouraged to check their email inboxes—and spam or junk folders—regularly for important updates or requests for additional information. Prompt responses to these communications will help expedite the enrollment decision process.

“We recognize the anticipation that comes with applying to college and deeply appreciate our students’ patience during this time,” said Dr. Nigel Edwards, vice provost for Enrollment Management and Student Services. “Our team is working tirelessly to ensure that all future Buccaneers are supported through every step of their admissions journey. We are committed to delivering an exceptional academic experience and look forward to welcoming the next generation of leaders to UVI this fall.”
