Dr. Safiya George, a proud UVI alumna and a distinguished leader of higher education was named president in February 2024. She is the sixth person to hold the position since the University was founded in 1962. 

 

The University’s new strategic plan, “Greatness Through Innovation,” is the first major step towards creating this “culture of innovation.”
