Four decades of incredible performances, experiences, versatility and fun

The Reichhold Center for the Arts is a work of architectural wonder nestled within the lap of a natural valley that opens to the crystal blue waters of John Brewer's Bay on the Orville E. Kean campus of the University of the Virgin Islands. Seating 1196, this amphitheater of stone, wood, concrete and steel has hosted renowned artists from around the world such as Marcel Marceau, Hugh Masekela, Roberta Flack, Natalie Cole, Itzhak Perlman, Ray Charles, Celia Cruz, Jimmy Cliff, Brandy, Dance Theater of Harlem, and the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra for four decades. Not just limited to concerts and dance on the main stage, the Reichhold hosts the University of the Virgin Islands' collection of African art and artifacts, an art gallery,

community residencies and workshops in cultural arts, and youth programs in digital media and performance. In September of 2017, the Reichhold Center for the Arts suffered significant damages from hurricanes Irma and Maria. The center was forced to cancel its 39th season and has remained closed ever since. However, there is work going on behind the scenes to get the Reichhold up and running again. The Reichhold remains active in the community through partnerships, outreach activities and support of local arts and culture. We need your help in rebuilding this architectural marvel as we REBOUND, REBUILD, and RENEW.

Americas, and To enrich the cultural and social life of the University of the Virgin Islands and its community with programs and performances drawn

from across the globe that exemplify the best human artistic expression and, in so doing, to be recognized as a center of excellence of the University.
