Science Electives: An additional 15 credit hours of science electives are required.

*MAT 153 is a prerequisite for physics. Therefore, marine biology majors must also take MAT 153.

Other Requirements:

  • By the end of the sophomore year, all students must submit a study plan.
    • The study plan must be approved by the faculty of the Biology Program.
    • Any change in the study plan must be approved by the student’s advisor.
    • The study plan is a prerequisite to enrollment in Junior Biology Seminar.
  • All students must pass a comprehensive exam administered during the final semester of the senior year.
