Volunteer and Make a Difference in Our Coastal Community!

The University of the Virgin Islands invites members of the UVI and wider Virgin Islands community to participate in the annual Coastweeks International Coastal Cleanup on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026.

Volunteers will join thousands of participants worldwide in removing and documenting trash and debris from coastlines as part of an important citizen science effort to protect our oceans and marine environment.

9 a.m. – 11 a.m.
Locations:
Various beaches throughout the U.S. Virgin Islands, including Brewers Bay on St. Thomas

Students – Earn Community Service Hours!

High school students who participate can receive 10 hours of community service credit.

Ready to Volunteer?

Individuals, families, students, organizations and community groups are encouraged to participate. Volunteers are asked to register online in advance and select a cleanup location.
