Members of the media are invited to cover and photograph the University of the Virgin Islands’ opening celebration of its new dance studio at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 23, on the Albert A. Sheen Campus on St. Croix.
UVI President David Hall and Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Social Science Dr. Kimarie Engerman will be on hand for the ribbon cutting. There will also be an opportunity to photograph and video dance demonstrations after the ceremony.
UVI introduced its Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance degree in 2020. The dance program emphasizes a strong technical base in ballet as well as Afro-Diaspora, Caribbean and world dances.
