The University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) proudly announces the dates for Homecoming 2025, set to take place October 30–November 2, 2025. With a dynamic lineup of events on St. Croix and St. Thomas, many of which will be open to family, friends and the general public, UVI is calling on all alumni to update their contact information and reconnect with their alma mater.

This year’s Homecoming will feature parties, a musical concert, basketball games and a variety of social and networking events designed to bring alumni, students, faculty, and the wider community together.

“With graduation season upon us, we’re reminded of the incredible journeys our students begin here—and of the alumni who continue to uplift UVI through their successes,” said UVI President Dr. Safiya George. “As UVI’s first alumni president, I know firsthand the power of staying connected to the institution that helped shape our paths. I’m inviting you to reconnect. Let us know where life has taken you, share your story, and help shape UVI’s future.”

The call for updated contact information comes as UVI launches its new strategic plan, setting the course for the University’s next decade. Alumni are invited to share their voices, participate in key initiatives, join their local chapters and play a role in shaping UVI’s future.

Staying connected offers more than nostalgia—it creates opportunities for networking, mentorship, professional growth, and celebration of alumni accomplishments. By updating contact details, graduates ensure they receive timely updates, invitations to events like Homecoming 2025, and news about how to engage with the UVI community year-round.

Alumni may contact Sophia Johnson, UVI Director of Alumni & Constituent Relations, who is happy to discuss how to get involved.
