The University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) Board of Trustees will hold a regular meeting at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2025, in the Medical Simulation Center on the Albert A. Sheen Campus on St. Croix.
The meeting will begin with regular agenda items and include the election of officers. A slate of candidates for the positions of Chair and Vice Chair has been prepared and will be presented to the Board for consideration.
UVI President Dr. Safiya George will deliver the President’s Report, followed by remarks from Board Chairman Henry Smock. The Board will also review several key agenda items, including a proposal from the Academic, Research, and Student Affairs Committee for submission to the Thurgood Marshall College Fund’s HBCU Capacity Building Grant Program.
Additionally, the Executive Committee will present a resolution to update the Memorandum of Understanding between UVI and the University of St. Maarten.
The Planning Committee will share an overview of UVI’s key performance indicators.
Following the public session, the Board will move into executive session and will announce any actions taken before adjourning.
